Hurricane Isabella pooched me in Washington DC (in 03)
When their was just 97 volts, and that’s just not enough AC
By then Vic, the volunteer electrician had tested it right at the wall
Which was a shame, cause I had already set up the whole damn show
Which for lack of electricity was a no-go
And I’d just driven all the way from Fresno
Just to entertain them all

So give me photovoltaic solar cells and a big ol battery
I’ll put em up on my rooftop and collect the sun for free
And I’m gonna put windmills in my big back yard
Hangin from every tree
Sell the excess back to Texas, at an outrageous profit to me

Electricity’s been a real good friend to me.
